Which animals match 2027, which clash

Inti Soul's compatibility engine — the same engine as the couple compatibility tool — reads animals through three relations: secret friends (six pairs), trines (four groups of three) and clashes (two animals facing each other across the circle of twelve). Applied to the Goat year:

• The Hợi – Mão – Mùi trine: Pig (Hợi) and Rabbit (Mão) years match the Dinh Mui year.
• The Ngọ – Mùi secret-friend pair: Horse (Ngọ) years match the Dinh Mui year.
• The Sửu – Mùi clash: Ox (Sửu) years (1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009) clash with the year.
• Goat (Mùi) years (1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003) share the year's animal; the table puts them in neither the matching nor the clashing group.
• The other seven — Tý, Dần, Thìn, Tỵ, Thân, Dậu, Tuất — are neutral with the Goat year.

Choosing the first visitor by the household head's animal

Many people look up the first visitor by the household head's animal. The second table above works in two steps: first find animals that match both the Goat year and the head (secret friend or trine); if there are none, keep the animals that match the year and do not clash with the head. A few results from the table:

• A Pig (Hợi) household head (born in 1995, say): invite a Rabbit (Mão) year — 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 — because Mão forms a trine with both the Goat year and the head's Hợi.
• A Tiger (Dần) household head (born in 1986, say): invite a Horse (Ngọ) or Pig (Hợi) year — Ngọ forms a trine with Dần, Hợi is its secret friend.
• A Rat (Tý) household head (born in 1984, say): no animal matches both the year and the head; the table keeps Mão and Hợi and leaves out Ngọ, which clashes with Tý.

Birth years follow the lunar calendar

The animals in the table go by lunar birth year, which changes at Tết, not on 1 January. Anyone born in January or early February should check whether they were born before or after that year's Tết: Tết in 1991 fell on 15/02/1991, so someone born on 20/01/1991 still belongs to the Canh Ngọ year — a Horse, the Goat year's secret friend — not to Tân Mùi.

What time to first-visit on day 1

Day 1 of the Dinh Mui year is Saturday, 6 February 2027 — a Bính Thìn day with six auspicious hours in the app's almanac: Dần (3–5), Thìn (7–9), Tỵ (9–11), Thân (15–17), Dậu (17–19) and Hợi (21–23). The Tý hour around midnight — from 23h on the old year's last night to 1h on day 1 — is not among them; if your family's custom is to first-visit right after midnight, keep it. The twelfth month of the Bính Ngọ year has only 29 days, so this year's New Year's Eve is the night of the 29th of that month, Friday 5 February 2027.

What the table is based on, and what it is not

The table uses only the compatibility engine's three animal relations, plus the stem-branch and nạp âm element computed by the app's lunar calendar; it does not consider gender, nor the punishment or harm relations or the five-element cycles that some almanacs use, so its results can differ from tables elsewhere. If your family has its own custom, keep it.

• Birth years run from 1950 to 2009: one full cycle of 60 stem-branch years, each exactly once.
• The element column is the element of the birth year's nạp âm — Metal, Wood, Water, Fire or Earth; the Dinh Mui year's nạp âm is Thiên Hà Thủy (heavenly river water).
